Coaching Requirements


DMHA must ensure by November 15 that all Teams meet the requirements outlined by Hockey AB.  Any Team that does not meet the requirements is not eligible to participate in sanctioned games.

Hockey Alberta Clinics

DMHA will reimburse coaches courses that the Head Coach has taken as required for the level they are coaching.  Receipts submitted to

Respect in Sport 

Hockey Canada Safety Program (HCSP)

DMHA will reimburse coaches and assistant coaches for Safety and Respect in Sport courses as required.  Receipts submitted to  All registered team must have a minimum of 1 registered team official who has completed the HCSP. 

Instructional Stream Coach Clinics - Hockey Canada has developed the Instructional Stream Program to act as a supplementary coaching education program focused on (Skating/Defensemen/Skills/Goaltending/Small Area Games)
